Beware of what NHS doctors tell you

I feel that it is important to raise this issue. Last year, in May, as I have said before, I was admitted to hospital with a serious lung abscess accompanied by an extensive pleural effusion. At the same time I was diagnosed with  severe diabetes. The diabetes was quickly brought under control. The abscess on the lung was more problematic for the respiratory doctors they could not decide whether to drain the abscess with key hole surgery or with just antibiotics. Twice I went into the operating room to have the surgery, and twice the doctors decided at the last minute not to perform the operation because it was in a dangerous position.  The opinion of my primary doctor prevailed and she discharged me from hospital with a course of antibiotics. I had numerous CT scans to confirm whether the treatment was working or not Each time there was a CT scan my doctor showed me the results. The treatment was worked and I congratulated her for taking the correct course of action for...

My Diabetes Story by Trevor Morgan 27th May 2025

My Diabetes Story by Trevor Morgan 27th May 2025 This is the story about my diabetes journey. I am going to explain how I managed to reduce my reliance on medication and bring my HBA1C measurements down from 128 mmol to 38 mmol and latterly 43mmol or 6.1% and end diabetes medication by 21 st May 2025. It involved lots of hard work on the part me, my wife and some of the health service. I had to carry out several self-imposed actions which will continue all the time until I die. These activities are acceptance of the condition, planning, will power and determination, research, measurement and action. Background In May 2024 I was admitted to the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) with a severe abscess on my right-hand lung and a pleural effusion. The doctors also discovered that I had severe diabetes, and severe Ketoacidosis. I was very weak, and I thought that I might die, but luckily my lung problems were resolved. However, I am left with the permanent problem of T2...

Vulnerable

1)           Introduction It is my contention that humanity believes that it is invulnerable and acts as if its society will go on forever. However, this is untrue, and it is part of a false belief. Let’s take Ukraine as an example; in 2012 they hosted the European football championships. The world was looking up for Ukraine; they were about to apply for membership of the European Union, and they were looking forward to joining NATO. In 2022 Russia invaded. This was a disaster for Ukraine in general and also a disaster for some of its individual citizens, who either died on the battlefield or were severely wounded. Likewise, thousands of Russian young men were called up to serve on the battlefield and many were killed or severely wounded on military service.   History has countless examples of disasters which destroy lives from natural causes such as disease and starvation, and from wars, floods, hurricanes and earthquakes etc. In 1945, few, in Ja...
